- Description
In keeping with their philosophy, Finca El Filo affirms that coffee cultivation is much more than a simple task: it's a true way of life, the result of diverse experiences that have shaped their character. This process of continuous learning and development allows them to offer products of impeccable quality, reflecting nearly four generations of family expertise.
After the height of the armed conflict in the Caquetá region, the family was forced to leave the area where they had lived and worked for generations. Like many others, they ended up in the southern part of the Huila department where, shortly after the depletion of forest resources and cinchona plantations, coffee cultivation began to develop.
They already possessed knowledge of cattle breeding, corn cultivation, and sawmilling, but when they ventured into coffee farming, they had to learn by trial and error, making progress from both their mistakes and successes. Despite the challenges they faced, this journey allowed them to acquire the necessary experience to work effectively with minimal resources. They are proud of their ingenuity and share it through their consistently delicious batches of coffee.
