- Collar
Larger collar pads for a tighter fit and to reduce debris entry.

- Tongue
The tongue material is a smooth microsuede that molds to the foot and features perforations to reduce heat.

- Upper
The open-weave Bio-Dyneema® and recycled materials upper is incredibly strong and lightweight. The weave pattern allows for maximum breathability and quick water shedding.

- Midsole
The 005 features a full pure Arnitel® (TPEE) midsole, like no other shoe has ever had. This allows the 005 to be incredibly lightweight and responsive while remaining highly durable. While most supershoes are designed for race day, the 005 is designed for race days — plural.

- Outsole
An all-new norda full-length, one-piece outsole featuring the world's first release of Vibram® Mega Grip Elite rubber. This is a race day compound, which is Vibram®'s grippiest and lightest formulation ever. The increased traction of the Mega Grip Elite allows for varying lug heights, which makes for smoother transitions from technical trails to fire roads.

- Laces
The laces are 4mm instead of 5mm to reduce weight. The laces are made from Dyneema®, providing increased abrasion resistance, elasticity, and 4x the strength of a standard lace.

- The norda™ lock-down system
The 005 has a proprietary, detailed, race-day fit lock-down system. The heel collar is designed with pods to increase foot lockdown, comfort, and reduce debris entry. The tongue is a smooth, perforated microsuede that molds to the foot and allows heat to escape during high-intensity runs. This lockdown system is complemented by a new internal foot-hugging technology that engages via the laces and ensures unwavering support.

- Weight: Approximately 250g (US size 10.5), combining lightness and robustness.
- Drop: 7mm, perfect balance between cushioning and natural feel.
- Stack Height: 38.5mm, designed for maximum comfort on long distances.
- Lugs: 4mm, ensuring reliable grip on all terrains.

Specifically designed for UTMB, and Western US races, such as WSER, BLACK CANYON, CANYONS, etc., which feature a lot of flat surface with some technical climbs and descents.
