- Description
For the third year of collaboration with La Colmena, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to quality and transparency. During a trip to Peru, Mikołaj and Federico met Jorge, a member of the ambitious Gocta group founded by his sister Sonia. His rigorous approach, which includes double fermentation and slow drying on raised beds, allows for refined and consistent cup profiles. This family project continues to evolve, with plans to explore varieties such as Geisha. Expect sweet notes of milk chocolate and apricot.
Located in a forest-rich landscape with access to clean water, the farm integrates beekeeping to promote biodiversity and coffee quality. Careful water use and raised-bed drying enhance sustainability and consistency, supported by cooperative-led practices in soil health and resource management.
Premiums reward quality, while transparent pricing ensures fairness within the cooperative. With a strong emphasis on youth involvement, continuous investments in training and community development foster a resilient future for coffee producers.
