- Description
Since 2010, Ulises Nayra, a third-generation coffee producer, has been cultivating coffee in the small village of El Huabo, San Ignacio. By combining his family's ancestral knowledge of traditional coffee production with modern methods, Ulises has significantly improved the quality of his coffee, which reflects both the unique terroir of El Huabo and his passion for this art.
The Cajamarca region, located in northern Peru, benefits from a temperate climate and varied microclimates that allow the cherries to ripen slowly and evenly. Its volcanic and silty soils, rich in nutrients, combined with the natural shade of the trees, contribute to the aromatic complexity and purity of the coffees. The ideal combination of altitude, climate, biodiversity, and traditional agricultural methods makes Cajamarca a benchmark region for high-quality, traceable coffee, showcasing the dedication and expertise of its local producers.
With notes of orange zest, green grape, dried apricot, and dark chocolate, this coffee offers a juicy body, a lively acidity, and a sweet, honeyed finish. Ideal for a pour-over.
